Nothing screams holiday more than a home filled with freshly baked cookies and cakes! We’ve put together some of our festive favorites that is guaranteed to add merriment to your holidays.

Lemon Ginger Cookies

You will need:

  • 1 cup flour
  • ¾ cup confectioners sugar
  • ¼ ounce (7 grams) stick chilled salted butter, diced
  • ¼ cup minced crystallized ginger
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 ½ tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp ground ginger

Holiday season made easy with Tupperware!

  1. Beat all ingredients in Extra Chef until clumps form.
  2. Place clumps in MPress fitted with 3 cylindrical shapes and press dough onto measuring mat, cutting out 1-inch balls.
  3. Press balls flat out and cut into desired shapes using a cookie cutter.
  4. Place on baking sheets and bake at 350°F (176.667°C)  for 12 minutes or until golden.

Gingerbread Men and Women

You will need:

  • 12 ounce plain flour
  • 1 tsp bicarbonate soda
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 ½ ounce (127.573 grams) butter
  • 6 ounce (170.097 grams) light soft brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 4 tbsp golden syrup
  • Writing icing, to decorate

Holiday season made easy with Tupperware!

  1. Sift flour, bicarbonate of soda, ginger and cinnamon. Pour into Extra Chef, add butter and mix until combination looks like breadcrumbs. Stir in the sugar.
  2. Lightly beat the egg and golden syrup together and add to Extra Chef. Mix until all is clumped together.
  3. Knead dough out on lightly floured surface until smooth, wrap in clingfilm and leave to chill in the fridge for 15 minutes.
  4. Preheat over to 350°F (176.667°C). Line baking trays with greaseproof paper.
  5. Roll dough out to ¼ inch thickness on a lightly floured surface. Cut out gingerbread men shapes with cutters and place on the baking tray, leaving a gap between them.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden-brown. Let cool on tray for 10 minutes before moving to a wire rack to finish cooling.  Once completely cooled, decorate with writing icing.

Summer Fruit Punch

Get your hands on some:

  • 1 kiwi, sliced
  • ½ cup grapes, sliced
  • 3 strawberries, sliced
  • 1 mango, sliced
  • ½ cup orange juice or watermelon juice

Let’s get lickin’!

  1. Easily juice the oranges or watermelon using JUIST and pour out evenly into individual Ice Tups.
  2. Drop a variety of sliced fruits into each Ice Tups and FREEZE. Wait to enjoy!

 

Rich & Creamy Tiramisu

Get your hands on some:

  • 300gms cream cheese
  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • 400ml whipping cream
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla essence
  • 6 tbsp. Milo
  • 1 tbsp. coffee
  • 1 cup hot water
  • Marie biscuits

Let’s get whiskin’!

  1. Whisk cream cheese in Speedy Chef till light and fluffy.
  2. Add sugar, whipping cream and vanilla essence into cream cheese and mix till stiff peaks form.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix Milo and coffee with hot water till well dissolved.
  4. Soak biscuits in liquid mix till soft and arrange flatly in Cool Stacker. Layer the top with whipped cream. Repeat layers till Cool Stacker is filled up.
  5. Sprinkle the top with Milo powder and leave to chill in refrigerator for 1 hour. ENJOY!

Ingredients  Get your hands on some:

  • ¼ grated coconut (white only)
  • 2 large shallots
  • 8 chili padi
  • ½ snack cup of fried anchovies
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • Salt to taste

Instructions  Let’s get cooking!

  1. Finely blend onion and chili in a Turbo Chopper.
  2. Preheat fryer/wok with oil. Once oil is hot, add in the blended mixture and fry until fragrant.
  3. Add sugar and grated coconut. Stir and cook on low heat for 10 minutes.
  4. Finally, add anchovies and salt to taste. Stir well and turn off the fire.
  5. Serve it with a bowl of warm white rice. Enjoy!

Ingredients  Get your hands on some:

  • 4 red chilies
  • 5 red Bird’s Eye chili
  • 7 green Bird’s Eye chili
  • 1 tomato, sliced to quarters
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 3 large shallots
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • 2 tablespoon hot oil

Instructions  Let’s get cooking!

  1. Add all ingredients except the oil into Turbo Chopper and roughly blend.
  2. Pour out contents into a bowl, add oil and mix well. Serve!
  3. Goes well with fried fish or seafood.

Kiwi Coco Loco

  • 1 can coconut milk
  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 can pineapple slices
  • 1 banana, chopped
  • 1 cup chopped kiwi fruit

  1. Puree pineapple and banana in Extra Chef until smooth.
  2. Add coconut milk and sugar into fruit puree. Mix well.
  3. Slice kiwi fruit into half moons.
  4. Pour mixture into Ice Tups evenly and drop a few slices of kiwi fruit. Freeze until firm.

It’s almost time to celebrate the lunar new year. With all the house cleaning and decoration underway, it’s almost time to plan what you’re about to cook up for that much-awaited reunion dinner. We have a couple of easy recipes, made in a jiff with some of our favorite kitchen helpers! Try out our ‘Packets of Wealth’ dumplings and ‘Rolls of Health’ spring rolls recipe that will bring you extra luck this year.

‘Packets of Wealth’ dumplings

Ingredients (makes around 50 dumplings)

  • 1 pound chicken meat
  • ½ medium cabbage
  • 1 cup thinly sliced scallions
  • ¾ cup minced cilantro
  • 3 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2-inch piece fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp. sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp. salt
  • 2 large eggs, whisked
  • 1 pack round dumpling wrappers

Time to Get Cooking!

  1. Mince chicken meat with Fusion Master. Set aside. Using the MandoChef, thinly dice cabbage.
  2. Mix meat, cabbage, scallions, cilantro, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt and eggs until fully combined.
  3. Place a small bowl of water on a wide working space and spread out dumpling wrappers. Fill wrappers with a teaspoonful of filling and dampen the edges of the wrapper and pressing it in half to close it.
  4. Heat some oil in the Inspire Wok and place dumplings in. Cook until the bottom has turned brown and golden.
  5. Then add 3 tablespoons of water into the wok and close the lid. Let steam for 3-5 minutes if fresh, 6-8 minutes if frozen.
  6. Remove dumplings and serve on plate with soy sauce or other dipping sauce.

 

‘Rolls of Health’ spring rolls

Ingredients (makes around 50 rolls)

  • 8 fresh shitake mushroom caps or Chinese dried mushroom caps, julienned
  • ½ small cabbage
  • 2 medium carrots, julienned
  • 8-ounce can bamboo shoots, drained and julienned
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 2 tsps. grated fresh ginger
  • 1 stalk green onion, finely chopped
  • 2 handfuls of fresh bean sprouts
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 50 spring roll wrappers

Time to Get Cooking!

  1. Julienne mushrooms*, cabbage, carrots and bamboo shoots with MandoChef. (*If using Chinese dried mushrooms, soak them in very hot water for 20 minutes to soften them up.)
  2. Place ginger, green onion and garlic into Turbo Chopper and dice away!
  3. Pour a tablespoon of cooking oil into Inspire Wok and add in ginger, garlic and green onion mixture as soon as oil is hot. Stir frequently for 2-3 minutes and then add mushrooms, cabbage, carrots and bamboo shoots. Stir-fry for about 3 minutes before tossing in the bean sprouts.
  4. Add soy sauce and sesame oil, cook for a minute. Turn off heat and place the filling in a bowl to allow any sauce or oil to accumulate at the bottom and discard.
  5. Mix together cornstarch and ¼ cup of cool water. Place spring roll wrapper on a flat surface and place a tablespoon of your vegetable mixture into the lower corner of your wrapper.
  6. Roll the edge close around the mixture before gathering the corners and folding it toward the middle of the wrapper while continuing to roll up.
  7. Paint the top edge of the wrapper with cornstarch and seal edges tightly.
  8. Fry in wok over high heat in about 1-2 inches of cooking oil for about 2-3 minutes or until wrappers are golden brown.
  9. Cool spring rolls on a cooling rack or paper-towel covered plate and serve hot with a dipping sauce of your liking.
